Patricia Ann Carlin Simcox, loved her family, dogs

March 7, 2025

Patricia Ann Carlin Simcox, 73, of Millsboro, took her last breath Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born Jan. 14, 1952, she was raised in Haddonfield, N.J., and graduated from Haddonfield High School.

She married her best friend and partner, Bill Simcox, May 16, 1970.

Together, they made a home and raised two children in West Deptford, N.J.  In addition to their full-time residence in West Deptford, they had maintained a condo in Wildwood for over 20 years, a location they fully enjoyed and was one of their favorite places to be.

She is predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Daniel Carlin; aunts and uncles, Janet and Paul Farrell, and Evelyn and Bill Cunningham; her in-laws, Helen and Walter Simcox; sister-in-law, Diane Simcox; brother-in-law, Andrew Simcox; sister and brother-in-law, Dee and Walter Simcox; and nephew, Casey Simcox.

She is survived by her husband and best friend together for 56 years, Bill Simcox; children, Kelley Thwaite and her husband Jim of Mount Olive, N.C., William Simcox and his wife Wrayanne of Williamstown, N.J., sister, Joan Hanson and her partner Phil of The Villages, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mary Turing and husband Ron of Glassboro, N.J.; brother-in-law, Dennis and his partner Diane of Washington Township, N.J.; sister-in-law, Helen Ayars and her husband Lee of Glassboro; brother-in-law, Ray Simcox and his wife Linda of Thorofare, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her very special pup, Russell, and many grand fur babies.

Pat had a quiet way about her, but if you were close to her, you got to know her sarcastic sense of humor, a trait she happily passed on to both her children.

She loved her dogs and had more pictures of them than of the rest of the family.

She hated having any attention on herself, so with that in mind, there will be no viewing. She will be cremated, and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.

In her memory, contributions may be made to animal care or animal rescue organizations.
